VAUDE Sport is pleased to receive a further award that highlights the company’s focus on the environment. The GreenTec Award 2016 was presented at a gala at ICM in Munich. The company received the 25,000-euro award for its sustainable refurbishment of the company headquarters in Tettnang, which was completed last year. Vollack conceived the concept, planned and mplemented
the refurbishment for the well-known manufacturer of outdoor equipment.

The environmental prize is awarded in several categories. The award is given to green products and projects that stand out due to excellent environmental technologies and ecological commitment. The “Green Office” category honors companies that take innovative and effective approaches to improving their carbon footprint, including sustainable office and work concepts. The decision was made by an interdisciplinary jury of experts, comprising 70 representatives from business, science, associations and the media. Applicants have to make it into the top 3 beforehand, and this is decided by the jury or a public online vote.

“We wanted to create a perfect work environment that addresses individual requirements and human needs. The new premises promote communication, creativity and team work,” says VAUDE managing director Antje von Dewitz, when discussing the objective. “For us, office sustainability does not just mean using environmentally friendly materials; it also involves creating a healthy, comfortable atmosphere that motivates people and stimulates creativity. This is what prompted us to plan and implement our urgently required company refurbishment with DGNB certification.”
